About Us

Founded in 1989, the Alex English Basketball Skills Camp has become a generational tradition. From Alex’s own family members to former Gamecock / NBA / WNBA players, the camp continues to inspire and develop young athletes through skill, mentorship, and community.

Taking the experience even further, Alex brings a unique approach to the game—teaching not only basketball fundamentals, but also the importance of education, vocabulary, and thinking beyond the court. He encourages young athletes to see that they can pursue basketball while also building their own businesses and future careers.

The camp features some of the best coaches and guest speakers, including NBA Hall of Famers, current NBA players, and former Gamecocks, creating an environment rooted in excellence, leadership, and opportunity.

The 2026 Alex English Basketball Skills Camp is sponsored by Aflac.
